What brought our team together and formed our product. History of CertCare.

CertCare, developed by Swiss company Originfood, is a SaaS platform that simplifies product compliance for manufacturing companies worldwide.

Founded in 2018 as Originfood, we started with a traceability system for food ingredients; a name and a mission rooted in knowing where products come from. At the time, blockchain was synonymous with trust and traceability, and a key customer requirement, so we secured every transaction through our own proprietary blockchain solution.

It soon became evident, however, that beyond tracing physical products, what the market truly lacked was a user-friendly, fully secure system to track and manage compliance documentation. We refocused our development on exactly that, without the complexity of blockchain. That shift shaped the CertCare platform into what it is today.

We onboarded our first users to CertCare 1.0 in early 2022. Our mission remains unchanged: we help businesses of all sizes turn complex compliance requirements into streamlined, manageable processes to reduce risk, save time, and enable confident decision-making.

Our team brings together decades of experience in supply chain management, product development, SME operations, software engineering, and chemical research. This multidisciplinary expertise enables us to solve demanding compliance challenges and continuously improve CertCare to meet our customers' needs.
